In this performance, we will conduct a traditional Japanese ritual of spirit invocation. We ask you, the audience, to be present and witness the ceremony firsthand. The ghost we summon is a vicious one, responsible for many misfortunes. To prevent further harm, we will attempt an exorcism. First, the spirit will be called into this space. Then, through ritual, we will banish it from the living world. Your safety is assured, so long as you follow the rules. Please rest easy, and take part in the ceremony. ---“Genzo” is a theatrical series dedicated to exploring expressions of fear on stage. This production will be performed in English. It is presented as a one-person play, requiring only the actor and minimal technical support, allowing it to be staged in any space beyond the traditional theater. A technical rider will be provided—please join us at the venue.---
