Tokyo Tambourine
It’s funny but it makes me sad; it’s sad but it makes me laugh.
Tokyo Tambourine is based in Tokyo and has been creating works that can only be done through theater. We have also performed many plays in spaces other than theaters, and in our play ""Wanowa,"" which depicts the world of tea, we established a new theatrical development using an actual tea room as the venue, and in October 2019 we performed in France. We continues to portray the true essence of humanity in a gentle yet sharp way. This time we will be performing ""TheGAME"" a play themed around chess. ""The GAME""At Cafe Pawn, regular customers are always playing chess. One day, a married couple comes in.After her husband breaks up with her, the wife becomes addicted to chess. At the same time, the wife comes up with a plan.

The story, which exposes the darkness that modern people carry within their everyday conversations, is performed with a focus on "expression that can only be achieved through theater."We also hold a number of planned performances, including simultaneous double feature performances, performances in the ward office lobby, performances in cafes, and "walking" plays that involve the shopping district and town.In particular, with the aim of "spreading circles around a Japanese motif," the "Wanowa" project, which combines the world of tea ceremony with theater, also saw a performance in Paris, France.
