Two Practices Related to the Body
1. Dance and the Performing Arts in the Age of AI: Past, Present, and Future (Working Title) 2. Interference patterns of birds and humans
Minami Nakayashiki / Garage / kiyos Yonesque / Mitsutane Ota
Through engaging with difference, we reflect on the environment around our bodies and our present position within it.
In the workshop, participants will engage in physical practices within the rich natural environment and bird habitats on campus, and reconsider the environment and performance space from a scenographic perspective. Through these experiences, they will deepen reflections on the relationship between body and environment. By involving practitioners from different fields of expertise, the workshop also aims to create a collaborative performance space where each participant can bring in their own interests. For the talk event, we welcome critic Mitsutane Ota and present video works by choreographer Minami Nakayashiki. The discussion will focus on the intersections of dance, the performing arts, and technology.
