One year after ‘The Japanese Ideology,' of which all six chapters were presented as a YPAM Direction pieces at YPAM2023, a performance will be held outside in Uraga, Yokosuka City. The Uraga Dock was completed in 1899 by the Uraga Shipbuilding Company. Seventy years later, in 1969, the “Kamome Danchi” (public housing)), a massive residential complex overlooking Tokyo Bay, was built. Kamome Danchi began to accommodate residents in 1970, the year of Expo '70.

The Uraga area is divided into east and west by a bay. The east and west sides are separated by the bay, with ferry boats serving as the means of crossing. Kamome Danchi is located on the eastern side, with kites soaring overhead. The path leading to the ferry dock on the eastern side is lined with high walls and barbed wire, preventing any view of the bay. On the western side, Atago-yama Park, the oldest park in the city, opened in 1891, offers a sweeping view of the bay. In Chapter 7, the sound of the whistle echoes from the Uraga Dock.
