YPAM Exchange is an program exclusive for YPAM registrants where professionals of performing arts from all around the world come together. The Exchange period is divided into an online-only term and hybrid term with both in-person and online participation.

Host Your Meeting

In the YPAM Exchange in YPAM2023, you can host four types of meetings: Presentation, Roundtable, Symposium, and Studio Showing, according to your objective.

The Exchange period is divided into an online-only portion and a hybrid portion with both in-person and online participation.

Presentation

Presentation is suitable for making an in-depth presentation about your work and projects. We have two rooms available with a capacity of 48 (including the hosts) per session, where the desks and chairs are placed in a lecture setting. You can choose from a 40 or 20-minute slot, which you can purchase up to two consecutively. No live-streaming on Swapcard. Optional JP/EN consecutive interpretation on sight is available for hire.

Roundtable (Large/Small)

Roundtable is suitable for discussing your topic with other participants with you as a moderator. We have rooms in two different sizes. Each session is 45 minutes long, and you can purchase up to two consecutive slots. No JP/EN interpretation available.

Large Room

• Room Capacity: 30 (including the hosts, +20 with additional seats and standing room)

Small Room

• Room Capacity: 20 (at the venue) + 100 (Swapcard)
• JP/EN Interpretation: Not available
• Live-streaming: Available on Swapcard (up to 100 participants, including the hosts)
• Registration Fee (tax included): 3,300 JPY

Online-only Roundtable

Online-only Roundtable sessions will be held for three days from Tuesday 5 to Thursday 7 December. All the panels and participants will join the meeting remotely on Swapcard. A session is 90 minutes at the longest. Every session will be held with JP/EN consecutive interpretation.

Online-only Roundtable sessions will be application-based and selected by the office (no host registration fee applicable). If you wish to host a session, please fill in the Google form below with your name, company/group name, a short description of your session, and the time/date of your choice.

Symposium

Symposium is suitable for hosting a panel discussion with three or more panels. The biggest room in the building with a capacity of 150 is available for symposia. Each session is 45 minutes long, and you can purchase up to two consecutive slots. Live-streaming on Swapcard and JP/EN simultaneous interpretation will be available for all sessions.

Studio Showing (Pilot / Selection)

A training room with a capacity of 50, equipped with mirrors on the two sides of the walls and a barre is available for a pitch, short performance, or workshop. Each session is 45 minutes long, and the number of slots a host can book is limited to one. Sessions will NOT be live-streamed on Swapcard. Inquire us if you wish to hire an English to/from Japanese interpreter for your session.
